Julia Sodder Backstory
Julia Sodder is a name that haunts the very heart of Trench. She was the first Human-Pthumerian hybrid, and she was the most powerful of them all. Her immense powers were only amplified by her honest, wishful heart. She believed stories into reality, both monsters... and heroes. However, she didn't have full control over this power, and the heroes she called forth were brought in to fight the monsters that were inevitably summoned by her very presence in the world. Julia did her very best to control and contain the presence of the monsters with her belief that the hearts of these heroic figures she called to her side would ultimately prevail-- but that didn't stop disaster from striking.
After a fire broke out and set the town ablaze, the people closest to her gathered and took matters into their own hands.
They quickly found out that not even a coma could contain Julia's immense powers.
Her dreams overtook reality, sweeping up the entire town and splintering it into fragments. The immensity of her reality warping capabilities inevitably drew heroes from the pages of every story she had read to her-- to be her friends, until the very end.
The girl herself did not survive the ordeal. When the town splintered, so did her soul. All that was left of her was the remnants of a child with the expectations of the world placed upon her. Her dream had to end, and the Sleepers she had brought to her side all fought tooth and nail over the best way to finally let her soul rest without destroying everything that was left. Decisions had to be made, consequences needed to be faced, and the World needed to Awaken.
Unfortunately, there is no such thing as a happy ending. The ghost that remained of Julia felt abandoned by the very friends she had called for in the very final moments of her death, and in her last act she embedded these beliefs into the core of the new reality. Julia the child was forgotten, and only Julia the monster is remembered.
All that's left of her heart are the sounds of her cries haunting the darkened alleys of the Waking World.
