But, colors have more meaning in Remnant. You see... there's a lot of history to it so I'll keep it short:
After one kingdom tried to ban the arts as a way to protect it's people from the Grimm-- monsters in my world that show up whenever there is a high concentration of negative emotions, like anger, sadness or fear-- there was a rush to embrace color and the arts when that kingdom was defeated in a war that nearly tore the world apart. Since then, there's a push for parents to name their kids after things that have color. And...
Our powers have colors, which are different for everyone.
[He chuckled and looked away, sheepish over explaining the exhaustive details.]
We share colors when we are showing fondness or loyalty to someone. Teams often have colors as part of their names, too. It's important, you see.
So... even if flowers like this sometimes decorate caskets and burials, I think the color is also important. It's a loss-- so that can be sad. But it's also change, and a reminder that the people we lost would want us to look at the bright things in life even when they're gone.
Life is a beautiful thing. I think I have a better understanding as to why this world gifted you this particular flower.
[He says, as he regards the chrysanthemum. When phrased that way, he sees Oscar as a bright young man, much like this bright young flower that has just sprouted from the seeds of the past.]
I never once thought to view life in terms of colors. Perhaps it's something I've taken for granted, given the beauty of my home. Something to take into account... [He thinks for a moment, intrigued by Remnant's history.] So...what color do you think best represents you?
[It was fitting in more ways than one. Unbeknownst to the boy, in some words there were figures in gold that were given the name 'Oscar'...]
I guess having even the arts outlawed makes people think a little more about the things they took for granted.
[He shrugged, grinning sheepishly. It was easy to see why people wouldn't see colors the same way, especially when they came from worlds where it was easy and safe to express themselves.]
Since everything started, my Aura has been green. I never got to see what color it was before that part of my life changed. But, well...
My favorite colors have always been autumn colors. Reds, oranges, and yellows. A friend also told me that my... everything looked like a warm orange when he looked with his special eyepatch that lets him see magic and energy and stuff.
...It's always been one of my favorites, so I believe him.
Green and orange...those two colors represent you well. Green is a bit more peculiar, however, given its multiple meanings. And when such colors have a great deal of importance in your world, well, don't blame me for being a little curious.
[He wonders what Oscar meant by 'that part of my life changed', and if it had anything to do with his Aura being green. If it did, it wouldn't surprise him.]
Remnant is a weird place, even when compared to all the different worlds we all come from. There aren't too many other places with a broken moon.
[He was grinning, even with the wry words. Childe's curiosity was understandable-- just like Oscar's curiosity about Childe's history and name. There were some details that were too hard to just talk about, but it would seem that this was a commonality that united them.
Just like Childe gave up his name, Oscar gave up his rights to even call himself a farmhand. They both chose to become someone different, whether by design or necessity.]
...What does green mean to you? I've always seen it as being related to the Spring if it's not related to someone's powers.
[He nods, as spring was one of the meanings he knew as well.]
Life, renewal, hope, prosperity, rebirth and immortality...these are also meanings that can be applied to the color green. I wonder if these concepts were taken into consideration from the rules that your world abides by when you gained your power.
[He shrugs, however.]
But, it's just a guess. Who's to say that Remnant follows the same principles as Teyvat?
[It was unnerving, how Rebirth and Immortality were associated with the color green across other parts of the multiverse. Oscar, uncertain of what to say, merely offered a shrug at the question.]
People are the same no matter what world we come from, [He said thoughtfully.] We have the same dreams and fears. Why wouldn't our feelings on color be similar?
[He smiles softly- the same kind of smile he always wears when he thinks about subjects like these.]
Though we all have our own sky and our own moon, we still stand underneath them all the same. Ah...to think that so many lives exist across so many realities. I'm glad I had the chance to learn about them.
[He wishes he could visit them anytime he wanted. But, you can't always get what you want.]
Oscar, do you want to go in and relax for a while? I'll make you some traditional Snezhnayan tea. I hope you like it strong.

[A pretty flower, but one that represents sadness...he wonders what it was that made this world deem this flower as the kind to represent Oscar.]
Forgive me, that was out of place for me to say. [He holds his hand up in front of his chest in earnest.]

[Oscar admitted, looking curiously up at Childe.]
